What would have been the legendary
REO Speedwagon‘s last Houston-area show was canceled in August of 2024, and not long after the band announced they’d be splitting up due to differences between singer
Kevin Cronin and bassist
Bruce Hall. Despite the Speedwagon rolling to a stop, Cronin is “back on the road again,” and he’s bringing a lot of REO with him.

Cronin is heading to
Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on
Friday, June 6, in
The Woodlands, for a night of REO Speedwagon music, along with fellow Illinois-based band
Styx for their
“The Brotherhood of Rock” tour. While he may be touring as “Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon,” his band is the entire final touring lineup of REO Speedwagon; guitarist
Dave Amato, drummer
Bryan Hitt, keyboardist
Derek Hilland and bassist
Matt Bissonette. It’s worth noting all members of REO Speedwagon’s final lineup have been excluded from Hall’s and keyboardist Neal Doughty’s one-off concert with several former bandmates on June 14 in Champaign, IL.
