The holiday season is here and with it comes lots of shopping, planning, hosting and toasting.. so if you’re looking to find a break wherever you can.. here’s a list of popular Houston restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So it’s best to call ahead to confirm you won’t be left waiting for a seat at the table. With that said, Happy Holidays and scroll below for delicious local dining options.

1. Hongdae 33

From 11:30 am all the way until midnight on Christmas Day, the all-you-can-eat restaurant will offer its full menu for $22 per person at lunch and $33 at dinner.

2. Traveler's Table

The Traveler’s Table will be open Christmas Eve and will offer a prix-fixe menu for the occasion. 

3. Steak 48

Steak 48 will be open on Christmas Even starting at noon and closes out at 9:45 p.m.

All three Duck N Bao locations will be open Christmas Day and will offer their tasty menu that includes peking duck, soup dumplings, or Sichuan dishes from 11am to 930pm.

5. Black Bear Diner

Make it easy on yourself and let them do the cooking. Choose from a full Roasted Turkey, Old-Fashioned Smoked Ham, or Prime Rib Dinner, complete with soup or salad, cornbread muffin, and a slice of pumpkin pie. 

Served Christmas Eve and Christmas Day starting at 11am

6. The Burger Joint

All three Burger Joint locations in the Houston area will open starting at 11am.

7. Afuri Ramen

Afuri Ramen is located in The Heights and will keep their regular hours of 11a-10p with delicious dishes of noodles, sushi rolls, and Basque cheesecake.

8. Chow Wok

Chow Wok will keep its regular hours on Christmas and is popular for its General Tso’s chicken, fried rice, shrimp rolls, dumplings, and more. Check their website for full menu.

9. BASO

Located in The Heights, BASO will be open for its regular hours of 4-10 on Christmas.

10. iHOP

IHOP will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but hours will vary by location so call ahead before making the trip.

11. Hooters

Hooters will be open 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and from 4 p.m. to midnight on Christmas Day

12. Fogo de Chão

Locations are open from 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Christmas Day. 

13. The Juliet

On Christmas Day, The Juliet will serve a buffet from 1-8 pm. Priced at $79 per adult, $48 for kids under 12, and free for children 5 and under, the buffet includes hickory smoked ham, filet mignon, mashed potatoes, candied yams, cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, lobster bisque, and dessert.

14. Toro Toro

Located at downtown’s Four Seasons Hotel, Toro Toro will be open Christmas Day and will serve a four-course, $120 menu from 11 am – 3 pm. 

15. The Warwick

The Warwick will be open on Christmas Day from 4-10 pm and will offer its regular menu.

16. Willie G's

Willie G’s will serve an Christmas buffet that’s priced at $69 for adults and $29 for children.

11 am – 7 pm Christmas Day

17. Waffle House Restaurants

Waffle House locations will be open for 24 hours 

18. Applebee's

Denny’s will be open 24 hours

20. Cleburne Cafeteria

The Houston institution will be open on Christmas Day from 11 am-8 pm with all of its comfort food favorites like chicken fried steak, roast turkey, and liver and onions. Don’t miss the freshly baked cakes and pies. cleburne cafeteria
