What’s The Rudest Thing You Can Do At Someone Else’s House?
When you go over to someone else’s house, are you on your best behavior? Or are you quietly looking around and judging everything?
Maybe a little of both.
A manners expert put it this way: When someone says, “make yourself at home,” they don’t mean literally.
According to HuffPost, here are some of the rudest things you can do in someone else’s home:
- Touching or moving things
- Expecting a tour
- Overstaying your welcome
- Hiding a mess
- Snooping
- Bringing an uninvited plus-one
- Waiting to mention dietary restrictions
- Feeding their dog without asking
- Ignoring their shoe rules
- Showing up empty-handed
The basic rule is pretty simple: Be comfortable, be friendly, and have a good time. Just remember, it’s still somebody else’s house.
