The Reason Women Apologize More Often Than Men

Has your wife told you she’s sorry lately? Turns out, women really do apologize more often than men but maybe not for the reason you think.
Researchers found that men aren’t necessarily too stubborn to apologize. In fact, when men and women both believe they’ve done something wrong, they’re about equally likely to say they’re sorry.
The big difference is what they think actually deserves an apology.
Women tend to have a lower threshold for what they consider offensive or hurtful behavior, while men are more likely to look at the same situation and think, “What? I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Interestingly, that works both ways. Men are also less likely to think someone else owes them an apology.
So maybe “men never apologize” isn’t quite right. They’ll apologize, you just have to convince them there’s something to apologize for first.
