A “food divorce” is when couples stop sharing meals and start shopping, cooking, and eating separately.
For some couples, it makes life easier. If you have different tastes, diets, or schedules, separate meals can eliminate a lot of arguments.
But there’s a downside: eating together is often quality time. So if couples stop sharing meals, could they also start becoming more disconnected in other parts of their relationship?
