An Unfortunate Porta Potty Incident

A man in Kansas City, Missouri, apparently dropped a bottle of Mountain Dew into the holding tank of a portable toilet and climbed in to retrieve it.

The problem? Once inside the waste tank beneath the toilet seat, he couldn’t get back out. He was trapped for about eight hours with the portable toilet door closed before anyone realized he was there.

When a driver arrived to pick up the portable toilets after a World Cup watch party, he heard someone calling for help. At first, he and a police officer opened the door and didn’t see anyone.

Then the man’s head suddenly popped up out of the toilet tank, leading one company representative to joke that it looked like a game of Whac-A-Mole or Oscar the Grouch popping out of his trash can.

Firefighters had to cut part of the toilet apart to free him. Afterward, they hosed him down before he was taken away.

It’s a bizarre story, but the key point is that he became trapped in the waste tank while trying to recover his drink and was eventually rescued unharmed after spending eight unpleasant hours inside.
