📱 That innocent little “like” button? It might be doing more than you think…

In a recent case in Turkey, a court reportedly upheld a ruling where a spouse’s repeated likes on other people’s suggestive photos were seen as more than just scrolling behavior, they were considered enough to damage marital trust and contribute to divorce and financial consequences.

🧠 Brain check:
Our minds don’t always separate “online” from “real life.” A single like might feel harmless, but repeated taps can start to look like attention, interest, or emotional connection and that can stir up jealousy, insecurity, or betrayal.

💔 Trust isn’t built on one moment, it’s built on patterns.
And courts (and relationships) are increasingly paying attention to those patterns, not just isolated actions.

🌍 Bigger picture:
Your phone isn’t a separate universe anymore. What you do online can ripple into real-world relationships and sometimes even legal outcomes.

⚠️ But context matters:
This doesn’t mean every like is “evidence.” Couples set different boundaries, and what feels harmless to one person might feel disrespectful to another.

💡 Bottom line:
Don’t panic over the like button, just talk about it. Clear boundaries > silent assumptions.

Because in the end, it’s not about the tap, it’s about what it means to the person watching it. 💬
