For a guy who built a legend on chaos, darkness, and a few unforgettable onstage moments, Ozzy Osbourne had one surprisingly refined constant: how he smelled.

For more than 30 years, Ozzy quietly wore the same signature scent. No branding. No rock star fragrance line. Just one bottle he stuck with like a favorite riff. Turns out, the Prince of Darkness had the nose of a gentleman. The fragrance? Number 88 from Czech & Speake, a London-based house known for classic, understated blends.

Now, that secret is out, thanks to a limited-edition release in Ozzy’s honor. And in true rock fashion, it didn’t linger long. The bottles vanished almost instantly, even with a $370 price tag for 100ml. Part of that bite goes to something meaningful though, with about $68 from each bottle supporting the Cure Parkinson’s foundation.

Sharon Osbourne says the connection was instant. The first time Ozzy smelled it, he told her, “I’d like to smell like this for the rest of my life.” And he did. Friends, bandmates, business partners all noticed. The guy who gave us “Crazy Train” also left behind a trail of quiet sophistication.

The scent itself reads like a well-balanced track: bergamot and geranium up top, with deeper notes of vetiver and sandalwood underneath. Clean, grounded, and just mysterious enough.

Proof that even in a world of amplifiers and excess, sometimes the most lasting signature… is subtle.
