Alright, you want the best AC/DC records from the Brian Johnson era, but you’re too fancy to include Back in Black. Fine. I’ll give it to you straight, no fluff and no nonsense, just like your doctor did before he told you to cut down on the red meat.

AC/DC Perform At Murrayfield Stadium

7. Blow Up Your Video (1988)
This one? Eh. It’s like that one guy at the poker table who keeps showing up but never wins. A couple decent riffs, but mostly you’re wondering why you didn’t just stay home and watch reruns.

6. Flick of the Switch (1983)
Oh, they tried to be gritty here, real raw. You know what else is raw? The steak you sent back three times. It’s got attitude, but not enough hooks to keep you from checking your watch.

5. Rock or Bust (2014)
Late-career effort. Not bad for a bunch of guys who should be yelling at kids to get off their lawn. It rocks, sure, but you can feel the mileage, like your knees every morning.

4. Fly on the Wall (1985)
Now we’re talking a little better. Still rough around the edges, but there’s energy. It’s like you after two cups of coffee, finally awake, but still a little cranky.

3. Black Ice (2008)
This one surprised people. Big, loud, and proud, like you at a wedding after an open bar. It’s got staying power and you don’t feel cheated after listening.

2. Ballbreaker (1995)
Now this is a comeback. Tight, punchy, no messing around. It hits harder than your cholesterol report. You put this on, and suddenly you remember why you liked these guys in the first place.

1. The Razors Edge (1990)
Top of the heap, baby! This one’s got everything, big riffs, big attitude and songs that stick in your head longer than your last argument with the wife. It’s AC/DC doing what they do best: no apologies, no compromises.

So there you go. Now go crank it up, but not too loud, alright? We don’t need the neighbors calling and you definitely don’t need another lecture.
