In May 2025, Billy Joel revealed he was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), a brain disorder. A tribute concert, The Music of Billy Joel, will be held at Carnegie Hall on March 12, 2026, featuring artists like Rufus Wainwright, Joy Oladokun, Tanya Tucker, Gavin DeGraw, and Billy Joel’s daughter, Alexa Ray Joel. His own backing band will perform, and while Billy Joel hasn’t been officially confirmed to appear, his presence is possible. VIP tickets are priced at $35,000.
I got to see Billy Joel and Elton Jogn back in 2015 and they were amazing! Remember, only the good die young!
