How Often Do You Have Music On? 25% Say Always!
If you’re in this group, you’re probably already annoyed I’m talking right now instead of rockin’ out. But hang with me for a second, because this one’s actually a “thank you” from everyone here at the station.
A new poll asked people how often they listen to music, and the answers reminded us why what we do matters. One in four people said they always listen. Not sometimes, not when they’re bored, always. Another 23% said they’ve got music on “almost all the time,” including more than a third of young people. Which honestly tracks, because your kid hasn’t taken their headphones off since last Christmas.
Another 44% listen daily, 18% tune in a few times a week, 13% less often than that, and somehow 2% claim they NEVER listen to music. We don’t know who those people are, but they’re definitely not in this group.
And with Spotify dropping its annual Wrapped this week, the survey asked how people would feel if the world saw their top songs from 2025. Turns out people were ten times more likely to be excited about it than embarrassed. Thirty-one percent said they’d proudly show it off. Only 3% said “please don’t judge me.” Everyone else? Total shrug.
One in four people says their taste in music actually changed this year. The rest of us stuck with what we love. ROCK!!!
So here’s the thank you: whether you’ve got us on all day, or you pop in for a few songs, you’re the reason radio still matters. And we thank you…now… back to rockin’!
