Skincare & AI have a Baby!

MIT researchers have teamed up with South Korean beauty giant Amorepacific to create Skinsight, a next-generation smart skin patch designed to bring lab-grade dermatology into everyday life. The ultrathin, flexible patch adheres comfortably to the skin and uses built-in sensors to measure key indicators like tightness, moisture levels, elasticity, and signs of aging.
Once the patch gathers data, it connects via Bluetooth to a companion app, where users receive personalized insights, trend tracking, and tailored skincare recommendations based on their real-time skin condition. The goal is to offer a precise, noninvasive tool that helps people understand their skin’s needs more accurately and adjust their routines accordingly. That’s frightening but also super cool!
