It’s that time of year when cauldrons bubble, broomsticks fly, and Hollywood’s witches take center stage again. A new list of The Best Witch Movies of All Time mixes whimsy, nostalgia, and pure nightmare fuel, from the classic to the cult. Here are the Top 15 that cast the biggest spell:

  1. The Wizard of Oz (1939)
  2. The Witches of Eastwick (1987)
  3. Practical Magic (1998)
  4. Weapons (2025)
  5. Bell, Book and Candle (1958)
  6. Hocus Pocus (1993)
  7. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001)
  8. Into the Woods (2014)
  9. The Witch (2015)
  10. The Blair Witch Project (1999)
  11. Sleeping Beauty (1959)
  12. Rosemary’s Baby (1968)
  13. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
  14. Hereditary (2018)
  15. The Conjuring (2013)

The list doesn’t shy away from double features either, both versions of Suspiria made the cut, and rightly so. The 1977 original is pure nightmare ballet, while the 2018 remake is a surreal fever dream of its own.

Likewise, both versions of The Witches earned a nod, with The Craft flying in on its goth broomstick to round things out.

And if you’re hunting for something lesser-known but seriously chilling, try Two Witches (2021). It’s the kind of small, eerie indie that proves witchcraft on screen is alive, well, and still ready to hex your popcorn.
