On Sunday, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced Rush‘s comeback tour, Fifty Something, during a private event in Cleveland. Less than a week later, the duo has added an additional 11 shows to their seven-city tour.

The tour, which kicks off in Los Angeles on June 6, 2026, initially featured 12 shows: Now the tour is nearly double its initial size.

Los Angeles, Fort Worth, Chicago, New York and Toronto gained an additional two shows, while Cleveland gained one. With Cleveland’s additional show, the tour now runs through Sept. 19, 2026.

The Fifty Something tour marks the first time Rush will perform since 2015. The band’s late drummer, Neil Peart, announced is retirement not long after the R40 tour. He died in 2020.

Peart, who had been the band’s drummer since 1974, was an integral part to the band’s sound and identity, which made the idea of a Rush reunion improbable until recently. The decision to revive the band didn’t come easily to Lee or Lifeson:

“It’s been over 10 years since [Lifeson] and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend [Peart],” Lee said in an official statement. “After all that has gone down since that last show, [Lifeson] and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we [expletive] miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music.”

The duo tapped German composer and producer Anika Nilles as Peart’s successor.
