Bob Ross is Back

Thirty paintings by the late Bob Ross will be auctioned to help small and rural public TV stations that are struggling with big funding cuts.
The paintings were made during episodes of his famous PBS show The Joy of Painting and cover different points in his career. The auction could raise as much as $1.4 million.
Public broadcasting recently lost $1.1 billion in federal funding. Because of this, many stations have had to cut staff, cancel shows, and look for other ways to raise money, like donation drives.
PBS and NPR are trying to lower costs for stations, but many still need help to stay on the air. I started in Public Radio, so I understand the struggle of the Telethon!
