Whether You Rent Or Own – Still Good Til The Last Drop
If you’ve had a can of Maxwell House rattling around your pantry since, well, since college, brace yourself, your morning brew just got a new name. After 133 years, Maxwell House is temporarily rebranding as Maxwell Apartment. Yep, the same coffee that Dad let you sip when you were a kid, without Mom knowing, is now aimed at renters.
Why? According to parent company Kraft Heinz, nearly a third of Americans are renting instead of buying homes these days. So, to “meet people where they live,” Maxwell House decided to swap “House” for “Apartment.” Call it a caffeinated nod to modern real estate.
And they’re having fun with it: the company’s rolling out a limited-edition Maxwell Apartment canister and even offering a quirky “12-month lease” bundle of coffee. For $39.99 on Amazon, you get four hefty 27.5-ounce canisters of their Original Roast, plus an official coffee “lease” to sign. (Finally, paperwork you’ll want to read over breakfast.)
The special canisters launched on National Coffee Day, September 29, and supplies are disappearing faster than your teenager’s gas money. Don’t worry, classic Maxwell House hasn’t been evicted. You can still grab the old familiar blue canisters at the grocery store.
So whether you’ve got a man cave, a starter condo, or a suburban McMansion, you can sip your morning cup knowing it’s the same coffee, just dressed up for the times. After all, good to the last drop doesn’t care about your mortgage status.
