If your idea of fun is turning off the lights, grabbing some popcorn, and letting yourself be scared out of your wits, then this might be the perfect gig for you. A cable and internet comparison site called CableTV has announced what they’re calling a “Thrillternship,” a paid position for horror movie lovers to watch, rank, and review some of the scariest films ever made.

In their own chilling words: “This position is not for the faint of heart, we’re looking for real fans of fear, enthusiasts of the eerie, and devotees to the dreadful.” And they’re putting their money where their monsters are. The chosen “Thrilltern” will pocket a devilish $666, a $50 Uber Eats gift card (because what’s a scare-fest without snacks?), and a one-year subscription to Screambox, the streaming service dedicated entirely to horror.

Applications are open now and run through October 7th, and the only requirement is that you’re at least 18 years old and brave enough to stomach what’s on their terrifying list.

From slashers to supernatural nightmares, the Thrilltern must select five films from CableTV’s list of 13 horror classics to watch and review. The choices range from timeless fear-fests like “The Exorcist” (1973), “Halloween” (1978), and “The Shining” (1980), to modern psychological thrillers like “Get Out” (2017) and “Hereditary” (2018). Cult favorites such as “The Evil Dead” (1981), “Candyman” (1992), and “The Thing” (1982) also make the cut.

So if you’ve ever thought your love of scary movies could pay off, this is your chance to literally make a living (or undead) out of it.
