No Phones Allowed

There’s a Newly opened Washington, DC, restaurant Hush Harbor is putting a big bet on digital detoxing: it’s going fully phone-free, requiring guests to deposit their mobiles in a locking pouch before they’re seated. The establishment, which expects staff to similarly disconnect, will sell disposable cameras and letter-writing materials and host book clubs, trivia nights, and vinyl-listening parties. The boldest, most jarring move of all? The restaurant has something called a “landline,” which is, apparently, a phone connected directly to the wall? What a concept!
I love it! Sometimes, I forget my phone at home and leave it there. Unless I need my maps for directions of course!
