As a lifelong Girl Scout Cookie fanatic, I can honestly say my freezer is never without at least one box of Thin Mints. But now, the cookie game is about to change forever. The Girl Scouts have just announced their newest flavor. They’re called Exploremores, and they’re a rocky road, an inspired dream come true.

Picture this: a rich chocolate cookie with a creamy center packed with notes of chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond crème. It’s like they took an all-time favorite ice cream flavor, shrunk it down, and turned it into a cookie. Now you will be able to devour them straight out of the box or, let’s be honest, straight out of the freezer.

The organization says Exploremores represent the “spirit of exploration” at the core of every Girl Scout. I like to think of it this way: I’ll be exploring just how many boxes I can reasonably fit into my pantry before someone starts staging an intervention.

Come January, these new treats will join the iconic lineup. Classics like Samoas, Tagalongs, and Do-si-dos aren’t going anywhere, and I’m relieved. Additionally, newer favorites like Adventurefuls and Lemon-Ups will remain available to keep things interesting. Sadly, Raspberry Rallys is gone, and earlier this year, the Girl Scouts confirmed that S’mores and Toast-Yays have been retired as well.

That’s okay, because Exploremores sound like the kind of cookie that earns its spot in the hall of fame. I’ve got my order sheet ready, my freezer space cleared, and my taste buds primed. Girl Scout Cookie season can’t come soon enough!
