A Personal Note from Jack Osborne

A personal note before moving forward on the loss of my father | Ozzy Osbourne
“Ozzy Osbourne does not end because he passed away on July 22nd… he’s exploding through the universe, and we’re all seeing it.” on his trying not to die pod.
In a deeply heartfelt YouTube video posted on Wed, 2025, Jack recounts being woken around 3:45 a.m. by a long-time family employee delivering the devastating news of Ozzy’s passing. From there, he says, “just pain, just sadness and pain and just so many thoughts.”
“One thing that has kind of stuck with me about my father’s exit was how there is almost a perfection to it. He got to say goodbye in such a profound way. He got to thank his fans. He got to see his friends…He got to perform.”
Jack described his relationship with his father as more than paternal: “He wasn’t just a father to me. He was my colleague… just a friend, a text buddy, a joke cracker.”
He concluded with the powerful thought: “The price we pay for loving someone so much is grief… and I’m okay with that.”
For anyone that lost a parent, like I did 3 years ago, we can really understand that.
