McDonald’s Launching Special Edition Gold Sauce

McDonald’s will debut a Special Edition Gold Sauce on Sept. 3, crafted with a tangy North Carolina, style barbecue base enhanced by honey, smoke, and mustard.

The sauce can be ordered on the side or paired with four chicken menu items.

In recent years, McDonald’s has expanded its sauce lineup with launches such as Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce, Mambo Sauce, Nether Flame Sauce, and a new barbecue sauce featured in the Angel Reese Special Meal. Sauces have become an increasingly important draw for restaurants, as younger consumers in particular value customization.

Alongside the Gold Sauce, McDonald’s is rolling out its seasonal McCafé Pumpkin Spice Latte on Aug. 29 and bringing back the Pumpkin & Crème Pie for fall.

Just give me a large order of fries, big mag and an apple pie please!
