Introducing the Robot Golf Cart

On the list of jobs most at risk of being replaced by AI and robots, golf caddy probably isn’t one that comes to mind, yet maybe it should be. Belgium’s Botronics has unveiled iXi, the “world’s first smart self-driving golf trolley.” The iXi can carry your bag, navigate the course on its own, automatically head to the next tee when you show its camera a putter, and even offer AI-driven guidance on club selection and swing technique. Pre-orders start at nearly $4,400, a price tag unlikely to deter the typical high-end golf enthusiast. ‘Must be nice. Although, I’m not ready for a self-driving anything!
