Will Geddy and Alex Ever Reform Rush for a Final Tour?

Fans have been buzzing for years:  Will Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson ever reunite for one final Rush tour?  Since the tragic passing of legendary drummer Neil Peart in 2020, the iconic Canadian rock trio has been silent, but the remaining members haven’t ruled out a return to the stage.

In recent interviews, Geddy has hinted at unfinished business.  “There’s still music in me,” he teased during his book tour, sending fans into a frenzy.  Alex Lifeson, too, hasn’t shut the door, stating he and Geddy “talk about it all the time.”  While both have explored solo projects, whispers of a tribute-style tour, perhaps with guest drummers like Dave Grohl or even Peart-approved protégés have been circulating in the rock underground.

Diehard Rush fans are clinging to hope.  A “farewell-to-the-farewell” tour would be a fitting, cathartic goodbye.  Let’s be clear:  a true Rush reunion is impossible without Peart.  What’s more likely?  A new project under a different name, but with Rush’s DNA running deep.

Insiders say 2026, marking Rush’s 50th anniversary of 2112, could be the perfect moment for a limited run.  Will it happen?  Geddy and Alex are playing it coy, but where there’s smoke, there may be a fire burning in that prog-rock engine.

So, is a final Rush tour in the cards?
