Stop the press!  The bald, ballad-belting genius behind some of the ’80s most unforgettable hits isn’t just that guy from Genesis.  Phil Collins is a one-man hit factor and here are the top 3 solo albums that every grown man should blast in the car with zero shame.

1. Face Value (1981)
This is the heartbreak-fueled juggernaut that changed everything.  Divorce never sounded so good.  From the thunderous “In the Air Tonight” (yes, that drum fill) to the soulful “If Leaving Me Is Easy,” it’s raw, moody, and powerful.  A must-have for late-night drives and midlife reflections.

2. No Jacket Required (1985)
Peak ’80s Phil! Big beats, bright synths, and chart-toppers galore.  “Sussudio”?  Nonsense word.  Certified banger.  “One More Night”?  Smooth enough to slow dance to at your cousin’s wedding.  It’s flashy, confident and surprisingly emotional.

3. …But Seriously (1989)
Older, wiser Phil.  He’s got global issues on his mind now.  “Another Day in Paradise” hits hard with its social commentary and “I Wish It Would Rain Down” is pure melodic gold.  This is grown-up Collins suited, serious and still somehow crushing the charts.

So, grab a scotch, crank the volume and let Uncle Phil remind you why he ruled the airwaves.  Still got it?  He never lost it.
