Halloween in July!

I recently heard that “Halloween in July” is actually a thing. At first, I thought it was just a joke, but then I went to the Cracker Barrel Country Store and saw it for myself. Outlaw Dave says it’s not true, but Cracker Barrel had a huge Halloween display—right in the middle of summer! There were pumpkins, skeletons, witches, and all kinds of spooky stuff. I couldn’t believe it.

If I were still living up north, I’d probably feel a little sad seeing Halloween decorations that early. It would remind me that summer is ending and winter is coming. But now that I live in Houston, the heat doesn’t go away anytime soon, so seeing Halloween stuff in July actually gets me excited. Instead of feeling sad about summer ending, I’m pumped for Rock-Tober! I can’t wait for the cooler weather, the music, and all the fun fall stuff. It’s my favorite time of year, and Halloween in July is just a little teaser for what’s to come.
