The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo proudly recognizes 90 premier student artists from across southeast Texas during the School Art Program Awards Ceremony.
Among the honorees were the Class Champions, Reserve Class Champions, Class Premiums and Reserve Class Premiums in the following categories: Colored Drawing, Mixed Medium, Monochromatic, Painting, 3D, Elementary and Junior High.

This year, about 200,000 students representing 99 public school districts and 55 private schools participated in the Rodeo’s School Art Program. Teachers submitted nearly 4,000 pieces of artwork to NRG Center for preliminary judging. The judges selected 819 pieces to advance to the next round of judging, from which 90 students were chosen to participate in the School Art Auction on Sunday, March 16.

The Rodeo’s School Art Program promotes an awareness of agriculture, Western heritage and Rodeo activities through artistic competitions for students. Since 1965, the School Art Program has received over 10 million entries.
Winning artwork will be on display in the Hayloft Gallery, located in the lobby of NRG Center throughout the duration of the 2025 Rodeo. The Rodeo selected 90 pieces for auction, which will take place Sunday, March 16, at 11 a.m. in the NRG Arena Sales Pavilion.
