The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. outside The Licking restaurant location in Miami Gardens, WSVN reported.

Update 3:59 p.m. EST Jan. 6: In a statement obtained by CNN, officials with The Licking — which is owned by DJ Khaled and has seven locations in Florida and two in Illinois — said they did not know that French Montana was filming a scene in the back parking lot of the restaurant until the last minute.

“Our hearts are heavy and go out to the victims of this senseless act,” the statement read. “We have no idea what actually took place. … The Licking restaurant has nothing to do with the incident and has given police the necessary footage requested.”

Officials with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue told WPLG that 10 people were injured in the shooting, including four people who took themselves to hospitals and six who were transported by authorities. The victim’s conditions were not immediately known.

A witness, Ced Mogul, told WSVN that he heard more than a dozen gunshots in quick succession on Thursday night after someone watching the production said he was robbed of his watch, keys and wallet. Mogul told WPLG that French Montana’s security guard and Rob49, a New Orleans-based rapper, were among those wounded.

Authorities did not immediately identify the victims.
