Mother, 3 children dead after house fire in Indiana
FREMONT, Ind. – A mother and her three children died in a house fire in Fremont, Indiana, early Saturday.
A house fire was reported around 5 a.m., Indiana State Police said, according to The Associated Press. Fire crews reportedly found the victims just minutes after they made their way through the house.
The victims were pronounced dead at the hospital. A county coroner confirmed their identities but has not released their names or ages, according to the AP. Autopsies are expected to be performed on Sunday.
Early reports indicate that the fire appeared to have started on the second floor of the house in an area that was not occupied, Indiana State Police said, according to the AP.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No further information has been released.
