WATERLOO, Ohio – An Ohio man without a driver’s license got a little creative escaping two recent crime scenes, but authorities prevailed.
Police in Waterloo, Ohio, obtained surveillance video showing James Howard Harrington’s return trip home after they say he robbed an area garage. In the video, Harrington can be seen visibly struggling to maintain control of the stolen items while driving a John Deere mower to his own residence at around 4 a.m. March 13, The Courier reported.
Harrington, 54, is also accused of taking a $43 bottle of Absolut Vodka from the YesWay convenience store that same night before driving away on the mower, police stated.
According to the newspaper, court records indicate Harrington’s driver’s license is “barred” until November 2024.
Harrington, whose bond was set at $7,500, was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree theft and driving while barred, according to court records.
