CINCINNATI – A new baby is expected to arrive later this year at Ohio’s Cincinnati Zoo.

According to WHIO-TV, the attraction announced Tuesday that Isla, a tamandua, is pregnant. Her pup is due in late December, the zoo said in a Facebook post.

Officials also shared a video from Isla’s recent ultrasound.

Southern tamanduas, aka lesser anteaters, are native to South America, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. The organization does not consider the animals threatened, vulnerable or endangered.
