Three students and the car’s driver were injured.

The DeKalb Fire and Rescue Department told WSB-TV that a total of four people were injured, including three children and the car’s driver.

The head of school, Charcia Nichols, said she heard screaming and saw children running.

“The driver crashed into a classroom where 22 fifth grade students were in the middle of a lesson,” Nichols told WSB-TV.

Nichols said that no one at the school knew the driver. Police have not identified the driver or said whether that person will face charges, WSB-TV reported.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash. Officials have not released the names or ages of the children hurt or offered any details about the extent of their injuries.
