KANSAS CITY, Mo. – It was Opening Day, and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II enjoyed the Royals’ season debut on Thursday with his fiancee and their newborn daughter.
Mahomes, who joined a group as a partial owner of the Royals, attended the game with Brittany Matthews and daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, KMBC reported.
Sterling was born on Feb. 21.

PAtrick Mahomes is no stranger to baseball, as his father, Pat Mahomes, pitched in the majors from 1992 to 2003.
Matthews shared a family picture on her Instagram page. Sterling Mahomes was wearing a Royals T-shirt with No. 15 on the back. That’s dad’s number with the Chiefs.

The Royals beat the Texas Rangers 14-10 in the home opener.

As for Sterling’s athletic future, she already has received a letter of intent from her father’s college alma mater, Texas Tech University.
