TACOMA, Wash. – A man is facing a host of charges after police in Tacoma, Washington, found him passed out behind the wheel of a stolen car.

Police responded just before 4:30 p.m. local time Saturday to reports of an occupied stolen car, taken during a burglary and arson of a car dealership in Portland, Oregon, KIRO-TV reported.

The driver, identified only as a 30-year-old man, was unconscious but awoke and tried ramming his way through the police cruisers that encircled the stolen vehicle while he slept, the TV station reported.

The man was booked for possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of first-degree assault, driving under the influence with a prior conviction and other outstanding warrants, KIRO reported.
