SHANNON, N.C. – Two people are dead and another person is in the hospital after gunfire erupted in a North Carolina mobile home park, authorities said.
According to WNCN and WRAL, the triple shooting occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Monday at Piney Bay Mobile Home Park in Shannon. The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office said two of the victims died, while a third was recovering in an area hospital, the news outlets reported.
Deputies did not release any further details, including the victims’ identities or a suspect description. The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
