A Florida woman is accused of striking her sister with a Christmas decoration early Wednesday.
Shirley Martha Rogers, 55, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with one count of battery, according to Sumter County online booking records.
Rogers was released later Wednesday morning after posting $500 bail, online records show.
According to an arrest report, Rogers was arguing with her boyfriend when her sister attempted to intervene. Rogers then allegedly pushed her sister in the chest and then grabbed a beaded Christmas cone, striking the woman in the left side of her torso, according to the Villages-News.
The victim then pushed Rogers and called 911, the website reported. Rogers’ boyfriend left the scene before police arrived.
