WICHITA, Kan. – Volunteers in Wichita, Kansas, successfully tracked down a deer whose head was trapped in a plastic jug and helped to free the animal, KAKE-TV reported.
The deer had been spotted at the Pawnee Prairie Horse & Nature Park with the plastic container stuck on its head days before it was caught. Park maintenance and animal control searched for the animal, with no luck.
Neighbors who heard about the animals came to help search for it and finally caught up to it in a backyard, the Wichita Eagle reported. That’s when a rescuer was able to grab hold of the jug and pull it off the animal.
The animal did not appear to be injured.
