WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a man whom they say robbed a bank but was then caught after using the bank’s ATM outside.

In a press release, police said McRoberts Williams, 44, robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Wilmington by passing a note to the teller. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, police said Williams left the bank and went directly to the ATM at the back of the building, where he deposited the money he had just taken from the bank.

Troopers responding to the bank robbery arrested Williams at the scene.

Williams was charged with second-degree robbery and sent to jail on $6,000 bond, WRC-TV reported.
