NAPLES, Fla. – A Florida woman stabbed her sister Thursday with an epinephrine injector in an attempt to “sober her up,” police said.
Naples Police said Joanna Marie Zielinski, 62, was drinking with her sister when she attacked her with an EpiPen around 10:30 p.m., WBBH reported.
Zielinski then called 911. Dispatchers asked why she called police.
“I’m allergic to drunks, so I injected her with the EpiPen so she wouldn’t be drunk anymore; what’s the big deal?” she said, according to investigators.
Paramedics arrived and evaluated the victim, who has not been identified. They said Zielinski did not hold the device properly, so no medication was injected. The pen is Zielinski’s for medical reasons, investigators said.
Zielinski was arrested and charged with domestic battery, according to jail records.
