HOUSTON – Police in Houston, Texas, arrested a woman whom they say shot her ex-boyfriend during a custody exchange.

In a news release, Houston police said that Keshante Shamirra Harris shot her ex multiple times. Police said Harris and her ex, Aaron Williams, have two children together. Williams was bringing one child back from a weekend visit, when police said Harris got angry that Williams brought his new girlfriend to the custody exchange.

The victim, Aaron Williams, was hit in the arm and the leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, KTRK reported.

Harris was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct by discharging a firearm, KTRK reported.

The suspect’s grandmother lives at the home where the shooting happened, and told KPRC that she heard gunshots and screams.

Neither the new girlfriend nor the child was hurt.
