2021 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest: Joey Chestnut eats 76 hot dogs, sets world record
NEW YORK –
Joey Chestnut won his 14th Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Sunday and set another world record after eating 76 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
“It just felt good,” Chestnut said after his win. “Even if I was uncomfortable, having everybody cheer me and push me, it made me feel good.”
Michelle Lesco ate 30 and 3/4 dogs in 10 minutes to win the women’s title.
Reigning champ and record-holder Miki Sudo skipped this year because she is expecting a baby in a few weeks with fellow competitive eater Nick Wehry. Wehry, the No. 6 competitive eater in the world, came up short in this year’s contest.
