$7,000 reward offered in search for South Carolina murder suspect
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Authorities are offering a reward of up to $7,000 in the search for a suspect accused of killing a man in a South Carolina park.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Ryan Dusha Kedar, 49, is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the Feb. 26 shooting death of 58-year-old Mark Jermon at Herdklotz Park in Greenville.
In a Tuesday news release, the Marshals Service said investigators discovered Kedar’s abandoned vehicle a few days later near Paris Mountain State Park; however, they could not find Kedar.
Kedar, who “enjoys camping and hiking,” is originally from Israel and served in the country’s Army, the release said. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Tel Aviv and a graduate degree from the University of Washington, officials said.
Authorities described Kedar as “armed and dangerous” and believe he may be staying in the mountains of the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky or Virginia, according to the release.
