MIDLAND, Texas – A woman shot and killed a man she found breaking into her vehicle in the predawn hours Friday, according to Midland police.
Around 4 a.m., officers were called to the 4400 block of Northcrest Drive for a report of a shooting, according to KOSA-TV. When they responded, they found a man who had a gunshot wound, the news station reported.
The man, identified as 36-year-old Jarrod Adron Roberts, was pronounced dead at the scene, KWES-TV reported.
A 21-year-old old woman, whose name was not released, told police that she found Roberts in her vehicle early Friday, according to the Midland Reporter-Telegram. She said that when she saw him, he was in the process of stealing unspecified items, the newspaper reported.
Authorities interviewed the woman and released her, according to KWES-TV. No arrests were immediately made in connection to the shooting.
