Dole died Sunday in his sleep at the age of 98.

He announced in February that he was being treated for advanced lung cancer, CNN reported.

President Joe Biden was among those who will speak during the funeral, CNN reported.

Lee Greenwood is expected to perform, USA Today reported.

After the service, the motorcade drove to the National World War II Memorial to honor Dole’s military service and sacrifice.

He will then be taken to his home state of Kansas for a ceremony before he returns to Washington, according to USA Today.
