SEATTLE – Amazon is hiring 75,000 warehouse and delivery employees across the United States and Canada, the company confirmed Thursday.
Starting pay for the fulfillment and logistics jobs will average $17 per hour with sign-on bonuses of up to $1,000 available depending on location, the company stated in a news release.
The competitive pay reflects Amazon’s recent wage increases, which have bumped up employee earnings by anywhere between 50 cents and $3 per hour for more than 500,000 U.S. workers, CNBC reported.
According to the online retail behemoth, the states with the most open positions include Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Washington and Wisconsin.
New warehouse and logistics employees will also be eligible to receive a separate $100 bonus if they can provide COVID-19 vaccination proof, CNBC reported.
