NEW YORK – An armed woman randomly opened fire inside a Bronx bodega nearly hitting a clerk who was working at the counter, investigators said.
New York police released video that shows the woman walking into a Longwood bodega around 1 a.m., pulling out a gun, and firing it multiple times at an employee, WPIX reported.
The woman, who was wearing a black mask, hooded sweatshirt and pants, left the shop in a gray car.
The employee, a 40-year-old man, was not hit or injured, WABC reported. The gunfire did cause damage to the counter and ceiling at the shop.
Police are searching for the shooter.
