INGLEWOOD, Calif. – The Los Angeles Rams snapped a six-game losing streak to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, clinching the NFC Championship title and advancing to Super Bowl LVI.
Despite trailing 17-7 to start the fourth quarter, the Rams scored 13 unanswered points to secure their first Super Bowl bid since 2018, when they were defeated by the New England Patriots.
With just under seven minutes to play, the Rams tied the game at 17, and kicker Matt Gay nailed a 30-yard field goal to take the lead with only 1:46 remaining on the clock.
The Rams last won the Super Bowl in 2000, and will face the Cincinnati Bengals at home on Feb 13 in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium.
