CHILLUM, Md. – A 14-year-old boy is accused of fatally stabbing a taxicab driver during a robbery on Sunday in Maryland, authorities said.

Romeo Nolasco Cuellar, of Brentwood, Maryland, is being charged as an adult in the death of Humberto Sierra Camacho, 46, of College Park, WJZ reported. Cuellar was charged with first- and second-degree murder, according to WUSA. Cuellar was being held without bail, the television station reported.

According to a preliminary investigation by Prince George’s County Police, Camacho picked up Cuellar, who had requested a cab, WRC reported. Officers responded to a call of a stabbing at about 10:20 p.m. Sunday, the television station reported.

Newly released court documents indicate Camacho picked up Cuellar from a 7-Eleven in Hyattsville, WUSA reported. During the roughly 10-minute drive, investigators said Cuellar admitted to pulling out a knife to rob Camacho of $40 to $60. There was a struggle before Camacho was stabbed multiple times, according to court documents,

Officers found Camacho suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died shortly after arrival, WJZ reported.

Camacho worked for Taxi Latino de Maryland for three months, a co-worker, Francisco Olivares, told WUSA.
