The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that just after 5 p.m. on Thursday, a woman went to check on her parents at their house in Olalla, Washington. When she arrived, she noticed forced entry into the house and blood inside. She called 911 and left the house.

When KCSO arrived at the scene, they found two bodies. According to court records obtained by KIRO, deputies said they found the bodies in a trash can. The bodies were later identified as Steven Shulz, 51, and Mina Shulz, 51. They both had gunshot wounds.

According to KIRO, on Saturday, KCSO identified the suspect as Shaun D. Rose, 40. He was considered armed and dangerous. KCSO believed he was hiding in Pierce County or in the Tacoma area.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office located Rose, according to KCSO. They pursued him for some time. He allegedly started to drive erratically, then ditched the car and stole another one in Pierce County before driving it to Tacoma. He abandoned that car at the gas station where he was later arrested.

Rose was booked on a no-bail felony murder warrant, according to KIRO. He allegedly pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to two counts of aggravated murder and is expected back in court on September 13.

KCSO is asking anyone with any information or video surveillance to contact Detective Jennifer Rice at 360-337-5616 or email their office at kcsodetectives@kitsap.gov.

No further information has been released but KCSO said they will release more details as soon as possible.
