NEW YORK – When police in New York City arrested a suspect on Feb. 23, they didn’t have to go very far: the suspect had broken into the police station.
In an email, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department said Carlos Luciano broke into the police station through a window that was partially open.
A senior police official told WNBC that Luciano was actually found inside the commander’s office in the 52nd precinct in the Bronx. The official told WNBC that Luciano tried to run, but was caught on the first floor and arrested.
Luciano was charged with burglary, trespassing, and criminal mischief.
