Adele says ‘Hello’ to Las Vegas, confirms 4-month residency
LAS VEGAS – Adele confirmed on Tuesday an exclusive four-month residency in the Colosseum of Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace Hotel, beginning Friday Jan. 21, 2022.
The announcement comes just after the Nov. 19 release of her latest album, “30,” her first full album since “25″ in 2015, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
“30″ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week with 839,000 units, far and away 2021′s highest first-week numbers, debuting at No. 1 on album charts in 30 countries and eclipsing Taylor Swift’s “Evermore” as the year’s top-selling album of 2021, Variety reported.
“Weekends With Adele” will offer two shows each weekend and is slated to run through April 16, the Review-Journal reported.
Presale tickets for the shows will be available through registration, using Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Registration opened at 6 a.m. Tuesday, and continues until 11:59 p.m. Thursday (all times Pacific), but no prices have been listed publicly, the newspaper reported.
The Colosseum seats roughly 4,100, Variety confirmed.
According to a news release, the Verified Fan Presale will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 7, and only fans that have received a unique code will have the chance to purchase tickets for performances on a first-come, first-served basis.
“We expect the demand for tickets to see Adele to be overwhelming,” a message on the Ticketmaster site stated.
According to the Review-Journal, Adele joins Van Morrison, Rod Stewart and Sting on the Colosseum schedule.
